The Reason

Welcome to Moms on Missions!

(MOMS) is an organization created by a single mother who knows and understands what it's like to play several different roles throughout the course of the day with little to no support.  It is an organization created to empower single parent households and to provide support for single parent households to build a brighter future for themselves and their families. Led by Cape Verdean first-generation college student attending Rhode Island College, our founder has over 15 years of experience in case management and teaching workforce development. Our founder has received a certificate for Nonprofit studies and has furthered her education to receive a degree in Professional Studies.  

Our main focus areas are career exploration, furthering education, real estate and credit building seminars, as well as providing resources for sports and enrichments activities for youth. We also have an AAU basketball league for children of single parent households so they can have the opportunity to showcase their talents. 

Our goal is to provide these families with the resources and support they need to succeed and to help their children reach their full potential. We are empowering single parents by connecting them with the resources they need to thrive.
